In reality, doing a craft is "E Z!" Yes, it is! But being a mom, a wife, a friend is hard... I don't know which one takes most precedence... I'd like to say the most significant element I prioritize is my family, but occasionally, in rare instances, I find myself chuckling as I write..., my craft surpasses all.
And you know why?
Balancing my familial responsibilities with my artistic pursuits proves to be a challenging endeavor, as my dedication to craftsmanship often takes precedence. In this scenario, I unapologetically prioritize my creative endeavors, recognizing the importance of maintaining mental and physical well-being through an expressive outlet.
The art of leathercraft liberates my mind and allows me to stay authentic to myself. I do not conform to anyone else's expectations; I am dedicated solely to my own journey. Although it demands great discipline... I am not promoting self-centeredness, but rather highlighting the tranquility my craft brings.
I have been crafting for many years, dabbling in digital art, drawing, knitting, crocheting, and sewing, among others. However, it was when I discovered leathercraft that I found a way to unite all my creative passions into one. It was a revelation that sparked my imagination!! 🤯
Through my most recent work making Summy Backpack, I realized that my passion went intensively toward mastering this craft for last 4 years, it seems not enough time for ones to mastering something this quick, however, in my case, because I have been doing so many crafts over the last 3 decades, uncovering the secrets to perfecting this craft with everything added up. I understand there is much more to discuss on this subject, but I will keep it concise as today is Thanksgiving eve.
I've felt as though I've reached a pivotal moment in this extensive voyage of leather craftsmanship; it embodies a surreal...
Acknowledging my previous achievements, I am exploring my love for this art form and its subtleties, opting to briefly set aside my tools to prioritize quality time with my family while also realizing the absence I felt for my youngest child. But rest assured, I welcome you to shop at my online boutique for crafted handbags; I will be back in Spring next year!
Until then, I extend my warmest wishes for a delightful Thanksgiving with your family as I shall!
I extend my deepest gratitude to all my esteemed patrons who have graciously supported me in my artistic journey of leather craftsmanship by making purchases on my website or commissioning bespoke work. Your support is truly cherished!
Until next time,
From the desk of Young
